You have an interesting perspective but I cannot determine if it's based on fact or whatever? What is past military? Who does your pie charts and what are they based on. Certainly not on any official records I have seen.

Word, I heard Michael Moore on Fresh Air today talking about Sicko, but the bigger point he had to make was that our culture has a unique sense of irresponsibility to the have-nots: specifically, that other Western societies care for the poor not only because of an altruistic sense of right and wrong, but because they understand that at some point, poverty of any kind hurts a society at large. The U.S., on the other hand, believes that if you can marginalize the poor and those with problems and difficulties, it will improve your life by contrast. Interesting to see the two compared... I'm moving to italy ;)

They spend the money on military hardware and war...

Both parties are guilty of this crime. We have to dump em and vote in those outside the two party system.

The scientifically impossible I do right away
The spiritually miraculous takes a bit longer

I remember seeing somwhere back in time, maybe, 2004 or so where the US givernment is spending $20,000.00 per US household on the Federal Budget. $20,000.00 PER HOUSEHOLD, that's a lot of money.
I don't know exactly what the ratio of the US GNP (gross national product) to our federal budget is but I wanna say like 37%.
That's 37% of everything our nation produces goes into the government.
The budget has risen every year like 13 to 15%, every year, now into Trillions and Trillions of Dollars.
There is a culture of spending, Not only in the republican party, but in both parties.

Where are the priorities?
Who's creating the priorities?
I guarantee you it's special interest groups and politicians.
Not the voting public........

And with all that spending, like QB, says, 47 million without insurance., 37 million living in poverty levels. The people who really need it, don't get it.

What are they doing with all this money?

It is really shame for all politicians that there are 47 million Americans don't have any medical insurance and 37 million Americans live in poverty.

They have all the money to spend of unnecessary wars but not for the poor people. The good democracy if can't take care of its own people than democracy is more evil than dictatorship. Screw this corrupted democracy and politicians.
