Bailout talks in disarray

High stakes talks over $700 billion rescue end in chaos, one day after President Bush warns ‘entire economy at risk.’

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — One day after President Bush said the nation’s economy is at grave risk, the high-stakes negotiations over the proposed $700 billion bailout of the financial system ended in chaos on Thursday.

Lawmakers bickered over competing counterproposals and hours of meetings between key lawmakers broke down without any progress late into the evening.

A meeting at the White House between President Bush, congressional leaders and the presidential candidates was meant to speed approval of an agreement. Instead, the session revealed deep divisions between Democrats and House Republicans.

As a result, House and Senate leaders and Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson rushed to Capitol Hill at 8 p.m. to try to hash out a deal.

But shortly after 10 p.m., Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., the lead House Democrat on the issue who had been in close talks with Paulson for days, accused Republicans of refusing to negotiate.

“At this point, we have absolutely no participation or cooperation from House Republicans,” Frank said.

There is much speculation in the msm and by the dirty dems that this is an attempt by the repubs to “create a problem” that mcPain can fix. I say who cares! If the filthy repubs don’t want this lousy deal to go through, the dirty dems should recess for the year on Friday, as originally planned. Let the repubs explain to their banker butt buddies why they aren’t gonna get to rob the US treasury this session of congress.

I for one would support that! For those that worry that the economy would suffer. Not to worry! The thieving bankers would just file for chapter 11 bankruptcy and continue with their dirty business as usual! Let me be clear. THERE IS NO NEED FOR THIS BAILOUT WHAT SO EVER! IT IS A SHIT DEAL FOR THE TAXPAYERS! LET THE THIEVING BANKERS TAKE THEIR LOSSES! That would be a ClapSorific™ outcome!

But it would be really keen if you stopped for a second and understood that “debates” which include only the co-joined twins of the apocalypse called mcbama will amount to nothing more then the left ass cheek telling the right ass cheek that it smells bad.

After all, there is this thing called democratic process! I understand how inconvenient and annoying it can be for you in the CENSORSHIP industry, but some of us are really old fashioned and set in our ways.

We believe THAT ALL THE CANDIDATES ON THE BALLOT FOR ELECTION should be included in the debates.
