What We Can’t Do…
…because we spend too damn much on the military! First, we can’t live in peace. It should be clear that the more we spend on the military, the more likely we are to get military action. It is simple human nature that we use whatever we have a lot of when a problem needs to be solved.
We used to have a lot of corn in this country. We had so much because of the government farm subsidy of corn, among other crops. We had so damn much of the stuff that they processed a bunch of it into corn starch and corn sweetener. Then we had so much starch and sweetener, they started throwing the stuff into every food product we buy at the supermarket. Then because so many fools went out and bought gas guzzling urban assault vehicle SUV’s and monster pickup trucks, gasoline prices skyrocketed, so now they are beginning to make fuel for cars out of corn. This will of course, raise the price of corn, make the starch and sweetener more expensive, and so those products we buy at the supermarket will all increase in price, and all because in past we had so much corn!
The same is true of guns, planes, tanks and bombs. Ever since WW2 the US government has been spending huge sums of money on military R&D and production. The old bullshit used to sell this scam was “peace through strength.” We have allowed the idiots in washingtOOn to spend so much money on the military, our armed forces are the most destructive force ever to exist on this planet. Do we have strength? YES. Do we have PEACE? NO! Military strength therefore, leads to a HIGHER likelihood of WAR!
This was the reason why the losers of WW1 and WW2 had major restrictions placed on their ability to build their military operations back up after the wars. The reasoning was, if these countries were not allowed to have powerful armies, they couldn’t wage war on other countries. This has worked! When was the last time Japan or Germany invaded another country? They haven’t done so in decades! That’s because neither country has a strong enough military to do so! Then there is the USA. We have a strong military, the strongest in the world, and we have been at war somewhere in the world for most of the post WW2 period. YOU need to put two and two together and understand this! The more we spend on the military, the more powerful our military is, the more LIKELY those idiots in washingtOOn are to take us to war!
The latest version of “peace through strength” is termed thusly: “in the post 9/11 world, we need to spend EVEN MORE MONEY on the military in order to protect us from another 9/11.” In case you didn’t know, we already had the most powerful military money can buy in 2001, that military was completely unable to stop this from happening:
What makes anyone with two brain cells that speak to each other think that even more military spending will stop the above from happening again? The most powerful military on the planet was ineffective at stopping that attack, and it would be as ineffective if such an attack were made again! We must CUT the military budget to level enough to defend our country from invasion by a foreign army. It must be an effective DEFENSE FORCE against a military invasion. That is the only real use of an army. To defend against another ARMY. 9/11 was not an attack BY AN ARMY, it was an attack by a gang of thugs. You deal with thugs by using POLICE. Let the cops do their job, let the army do their job.
We can no longer trust our government with a force powerful enough to invade other lands. The bush crime family’s wars of aggression on other nations are proof that having a military that is too powerful, leads to inappropriate use of military force!
WHAT ELSE CAN’T WE DO? The more money we spend on this:
The less money we can spend on this:
We can free up the required funds to attend to real HUMAN needs AND reduce the likelihood of war by reducing the military budget. YOU have to understand this simple truth! YOU have to act come the 2008 election. WE need eject the two parties of the apocalypse out of office and vote in third parties!
The telepathic crickets on the ClapSotronics editorial board wish you PEACE!
