Things have just gotten totally out of hand. It wasn’t supposed to end up this way! SONOFABUSH! EVERYBODY KNEW who was SUPPOSED to win the dem nomination. This from the Intergalactic Times:

Intergalatic Times staff reporterIt was quite clear from the start of the primary season that Hillary Clinton was the inevitable presidential nominee of the Democratic Party. There was simply NO WAY any of the other candidates could possibly win the nomination. These other people running were clearly only doing so to pump up their over blown egos. The worst of the bunch was this neophyte Obama. Where did this one term senator get off thinking that he could defeat the democratic party dreadnought, her highness Hillary Clinton? There was simply no way he could win!
The Clinton campaign came in with all the heavy weapons at their disposal. It was clear that all the top people in the democratic party supported her right from the start. Since she had cleverly and successfully blocked any future possibility of a national health care program while she was “co-president” she could count on HUGE campaign contributions from the health care industry. Her corporate fund raising was bringing in more money then anyone else in the race. She had her husband, and “co-president” stumping for her all over the country. She had BOTH voted to authorize the war AND voted to continue to fund it repeatedly. She was in the cat bird seat. THERE WAS SIMPLY NO WAY SHE COULD LOSE!
Given the above facts it’s quite clear that Obama has simply stolen the votes that rightly belonged to Clinton. It is also quite clear that The Democratic National Committee need commission a study and adjustments to the Democratic primary system need be made prior to the 2012 Democratic presidential primary in order to defend against this kind of electoral failure in future.
In a broader sense this failure will now cause major problems in the general election. This upstart Obama will now have the unmitigated gaul to attempt to STEAL votes that rightfully belong to the Republican nominee, McCain. Anyone that wishes to argue that this outcome can be left to stand is a fool. How can we as a nation allow mere voters to run off half cocked and vote for the wrong candidate. This reporter sees quite clearly that this failure goes way beyond the Democratic party. It is indeed an assault on the two party system. If this goof ball upstart Obama can spoil the votes of the rightful Democratic nominee, it is quite clear that we can be looking at a general election in which A CANDIDATE FROM OUTSIDE THE TWO PARTY SYSTEM COULD CONCEIVABLY BECOME PRESIDENT!
Well, it looks like the two party system is hitting the fan don’t it? Two party loyalists won’t like the smell of this, will they? Not to worry though. This clown obama is just as much in the pockets of the corpoRATeers as hillary dillary doo and mugsy mcPain. If mcbama wins the presidency, we can expect four more years of the same old, same old.
THERE IS SIMPLY ONLY ONE CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT THAT REPRESENTS REAL CHANGE. His name is Ralph Nader. He will represent and serve OUR NEEDS better they anyone else in the race!

I know that Obama will make better Supreme Court appointments than Hill or McCain.
Yes, it will be mostly business as usual. But I feel that ignoring the unprecedented assault on our Constitution headed by the Republicans is at our paeril. The dems suck. The Repubs are Evil.

What you seem to discount t4toby is that Nader will make EVEN BETTER APPOINTMENTS TO THE HIGH COURT then either mcPain OR obama.
I know that Nader WILL do so.
Add that Nader will give us MUCH BETTER THEN “business as usual” on everything else, and I can’t see how you can vote for ANYONE else.
Tongue-in-cheek or not, this post should at least make you think.
The charge that ANY candidate is more deserving of our votes “because they can win” is simply wrong…

But Nader winning this particular election is, well, impossible.
I appreciate the sentiment, but his best chance was 2000, and he couldn’t even get Major Party Status then.
Many progressives (wrongly) use Nader as the straw-man to blame Bush’s ascendancy in 2000. But the lingering effects of that meme will prevent any significant number from voting for Nader.
I like your attitude, I just feel it is misplaced this election cycle. Becasue if progressives vote for Nader, it may give McCain the edge he needs to get in. And we have seen how well that worked the last 7+ years. Clinton was no angel, but the Bush regime (McCain included) is the Devil. As I said before, the lesser of tow evils is less evil. Nader could resurrect the dead and walk on water and still not make a significant showing in this race.
So just to be clear – I don’t think Obama is going to transform politics, or be anything more than a moderately liberal pol. But the only other viable option is McCain, who in addition to being sadly deluded and partially senile, may be criminally insane as well.
But far be it from me to tell you how to think or feel, Clapso. This is just my take on the issue.
Yup, I understand your POV t4toby, I just don’t agree with it. I would simply rather vote for Nader, the man I WANT TO BE PREZ. Then the lesser of two evils!

Their just needs to be a puppet party name called democratic_Republicanieze. The ieze part makes it sound like a nationality so now it can not be picked on by people who are forced to not pick on nationalities.
I think Nader and any and every canidate should be put to the test take FBI procedure of interigation to squeze a open office calc spread sheet of their choices to issues that are important to the statisticly significant american public. They will then receive quite a zap if they deviate from that so we will train them like pavlov’s dogs. Or a gadget like something from running man.
I would say use the normalised australian database of EEG brain waves to monitor their responces and thought processes of questions so their mental processies can be broadcasted as well as their verbal and visual ticks.
The first circuit board for the system has been sent out to be made by the factory. The second should be sent in two weeks. Stay tuned kids.
